One of the most fun things about scrapbooking is all of the embellishments that you can create. It’s fun when someone thinks outside the box and creates something we can use both on and off the page. Erin Bassett, a Design Team Member at Remember When Scrapbooking created this great little bracelet.
Supply List:
• 1 Piece of Tim Holtz’s Grunge Paper
• 3 Prima or Petaloo Paper Flowers
• Glimmer Mist
• Ink Pads: Staz-on in Black and Ranger Embossing Stamp Pad
• Ranger’s Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel
• Heat Gun, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher & Craft Tweezers
• Prima Flower Center
• Ribbon
• Sizzix Texturizing Plate and Texture Boutique
Cut a piece of Grunge Paper one-inch by six-inch. Emboss it using your favorite Sizzix Texturizing Plate and the Texture Boutique machine by Sizzix. We use the Animal Print set on our bracelet.
Next, spray your bracelet with your favorite Glimmer Mist color (we loved Black Magic) and use your heat gun to dry. You might want to spray your bracelet a couple of times to get a really rich color. Once you have completed this, take your Staz-On Ink Pad in black and run it along the bracelet. This will pick up the embossed parts and really give great depth to your bracelet.
Now it is time to create your flowers. Spray each of them with Glimmer Mist in your desired colors. Get creative and experiment! After you spray your flowers, you will want to dry them with your heat gun using your tweezers. Then, one at a time, press your flowers into the Embossing stamp pad to get good coverage on the flower. Next, dip it into the Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (UTEE). Then, holding the flower covered with UTEE in your tweezers, heat with your gun until crystals are melted. Repeat two more times or until desired thickness is reached. Do this for all flowers.
Stack your flowers on top of your bracelet and use the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher to staple the flowers onto the bracelet. Use three or four staples. Finally, glue your Prima flower center on top and punch a hole on each end of your bracelet and insert your ribbon. Ask a friend to tie it on you and you are ready to go!
