Nationally known artist, Donna Downey, has a Campaign for Creativity going on and she is encouraging all of us to look at the world through different eyes.  Many of you may be quilters, scrapbookers or altered artists.  Others of you may like the things you see but have sworn, “I’m just not that creative!”
Well, it is time to start thinking outside of your box.  Donna states, “I 100 percent believe that inspiration and possibility are everywhere… inspiration can be found in everything we do, share and see.  The possibility is our part in manifesting it into tangible art.  All we need to do is open our hearts and eyes and listen to our creative voice.”
Kick-start your creativity by looking at things in a new way.  That plastic container you are about to throw away: maybe it might be a nice gift box.  That apron with the stain that won’t come out?  What about over-dying it and adding beautiful Prima flowers and embellishments.  Have courage and confidence in your creative instincts and enjoy the fun and process.  As Donna states, “Believe in your creative potential, enjoy the creative process, try something new, explore new possibilities, but most of all believe.”
If you are looking to have your creativity inspired, Donna will be teaching some of beautiful projects at Remember When Scrapbooking the weekend of July 23, 24 and 25.  You can visit Donna’s website at www.DonnaDowney.com and view information regarding the upcoming classes at www.RememberWhenScrapbooking.com.
