The University Foot & Ankle of Valencia has recently expanded its office to accommodate its growing patient base, while providing state-of-the-art foot and ankle care, including diagnostic and rehabilitation services all under one roof.
“We have experienced rapid growth over the last few years.  We felt that in order to continue our growth, we would need to expand to a larger space that offers additional services,” says Justin Franson, DPM, medical director of the Valencia office.
The former office space has been completely renovated.  Additionally, more than 1,000 square feet was added, creating a large physical therapy wing, additional private offices, a small kitchen/break room, and three additional treatment rooms.  Dedicated rooms for casting, diagnostic ultrasound, and MRI were also created.  University Foot & Ankle Institute has also purchased its own lower extremity MRI machine.  Patients will now have the option to have imaging services performed on-site, including x-rays, MRI, and ultrasound.  All of these enhancements translate into a patient’s ability to make prompt office appointments and receive treatment quickly and more efficiently.
The new physical therapy treatment area has been expanded and features new equipment including a Pilates Reformer machine for rehabilitation.  “The expansion allows us to treat patients with a wider scope of tools available for use.  Patients will continue to benefit from the strong communication between Dr. Franson and the physical therapy department,” says physical therapist, Suzanne Hawson, PT, OCS.  A gait analysis lab will also be available in the near future.
“Our main goal is to continue to provide excellent foot and ankle care to the Santa Clarita Valley and its surrounding communities for years to come.  We want people to feel comfortable in our office, and our staff is working hard to provide personalized and efficient patient care,” says Dr. Franson.
The University Foot & Ankle Institute is internationally recognized as a leading organization for the treatment of foot and ankle problems. Justin Franson, DPM, treats all foot and ankle problems from simple tendinitis conditions, bunions, heel pain, ankle sprains and fractures to the most complex reconstructive surgery.  Suzanne Hawson, PT, OCS is a board certified orthopedic clinical specialist in physical therapy and provides comprehensive physical therapy services for a variety of conditions.
