Betty Ferguson Foundation (BFF) Mes Amies womens’ group will be touring the local Help The Children facility at our next gathering on July 20 at 7 p.m. in Valencia.
BFF is a Non-Profit organization whose mission is to Train, Develop and Empower Women and Youth to be a Vital Force in Society. They have mastered several ways of doing this. Mes Amies (My Friends) is one of the ways that BFF connects women to each other and their community. Mes Amies meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the BFF offices.
Help the Children (HTC) is a nonprofit Christian humanitarian relief organization dedicated to help alleviate the suffering of children and their families throughout the United States and around the world. Help the Children’s mission is to increase self sufficiency by providing food, clothing, personal care items and medical supplies without regard to political affiliation, religious belief, or ethnic identity. Internationally, Help the Children is committed to serving people with diverse cultural and economic strata.
Mes Amies will be meeting at the BFF office at 25510 W. Avenue Stanford, Suite  104 at 7 p.m. on July 20, 2010. They will then go to the HTC facility here in Santa Clarita for a private tour. Wendi Lancy, Director of HTC, has asked that we round up school supplies as donations. Each woman, that evening, will be bringing something to assist HTC in this need.
If you would like to attend, or have any questions about this or any other BFF events, please contact the office at 661-702-8712. You can also visit them on the web at www.BettyFerguson.org or become a fan on Facebook too!
