The charity ride was thought up and produced by a hard working group of people including Old Road Harley General Manager Doug McGuire, Tim Bossard of AK Printing, Lynn and Joni Barnes, George Thomas, owner of Route 66, John Mahaffey of the Boys & Girls Club and Six Flags Park President Jay Thomas. This first annual Magic Ride was a huge success for Jay Thomas, President of Six Flags Magic Mountain and everyone involved.“It was fun and exciting. I was amazed at the positive response we received for the ride and the amount of people that wanted to be involved. We are already getting e-mails from vendors and groups that want to be a part of next years ride. We could not have done it without the great teamwork that pulled it all together. We are the “Magic Team,” Joni Barnes, Magic Mountain employee and Magic Ride volunteer.
The ride made over $9,000 in the first year with a portion of that being donated to the Boys & Girls Club. Event producers are even more hopeful for next year.
