Opened in 2008, the Railroad Café in the Old Courthouse complex offers Santa Clarita a local option for their coffee, espresso, and iced coffee drink needs. We are locally owned, we use locally roasted coffee from Newhall Coffee, and we support local charities and events including the Michael Hoefflin Foundation.
In an effort to help the morning commuters who frequent the train and bus, the coffee shop opens early and has a walk-up window for quick service. Railroad Café is a friendly environment offering free Wi-Fi Internet access for all paying customers along with big, over-sized armchairs for reading, and tables and chairs for meeting. Railroad Café offers a punch-card loyalty program and mugs, which offer commuters an easy way to get their coffee in a “green” way by reducing waste.
Further, the Railroad Café is starting a program to allow students and other groups to use the cafe as a meeting place or gallery for art, projects, company meetings, music, private parties or any other kind of social gathering lacking a space, in the evening hours. Railroad Café wants to provide a place for the community to support local business but we want to support the community in return. We want to be Santa Clarita’s local meeting place and coffee shop. We want to know our customers by name.
Lastly, the Railroad Café stocks meditation books, self-help books, gifts, cards and literature for the 12-step community, so stop by and enjoy a cup of coffee with our efficient and friendly staff.
For more information please visit the Railroad Café, located at the corner of Market Street and Railroad Avenue in Newhall.
