Castaic Inferno (AYSO GU14 tournament soccer team) ended their season with a tremendous record. They played a total of seven weekend tournaments in various cities over the five month season which included a total of 29 matches. They were able to take first place in two tournaments and fourth place in two tournaments with 16 wins, three ties, and 13 shutouts. Playing some of the toughest teams in Southern California, they scored 53 times and were only scored against 35 times. “Coach Jeff and I went through almost a full case of 50 ice-packs this season,” states Coach Dan Donihue. “The girls gave it everything they had and it sure shows by looking at their record. I’m really going to miss these girls. They definitely have the heart and skill level of champions.”
