My name is Roland Rojas, and I’m the owner of Pacific View Remodeling. In 1965, when I was five, my family moved to the Santa Clarita Valley. My wife, Carolyn, is a local as well, moving to this area at the same time. Can you believe that there were only three grocery stores in all of SCV as well as a couple of restaurants, Tips being the most popular? The Mustang Drive-in Theater was where we went for entertainment, and the closest mall was located in Northridge. During the early 80s, I was involved in building many of the homes that make up this valley today. I really enjoyed the aspect of building and wanted to be more creative. This led me to get my General Contractor’s license in 1987.
My wife and I have had the wonderful experience of watching the Santa Clarita Valley evolve into one of the greatest and safest cities to live in. In 1965, our parents paid somewhere around $21,000 for their homes. My wife’s mother still resides in her original home which is valued somewhere around $310,000.00 today.
