Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur signify the start of the New Year.  For Jews across the globe, it’s a time of reflection and renewal.  At Temple Beth Ami, we are excited to begin the New Year with a new member of our synagogue family.  Cantor Kenny Ellis has joined Temple Beth Ami and the community will have a chance to hear his amazing voice during High Holy Days services at the Hyatt Valencia.  Cantor Ellis comes to Temple Beth Ami after a long, distinguished career.  He served as cantor for Temple Beth Haverim in Agoura for 15 years.  He also has worked with numerous Jewish organizations providing musical and video direction.  Cantor Ellis has worked with Jewish day schools, including Valley Beth Shalom Day School in Encino.  Ellis is a graduate of Temple University and Gratz College.  Cantor Ellis also has several commercial and television appearances to his credit, and has been active in the Jewish summer camp network.  His broad musical and performance career will add a new dimension to Temple Beth Ami.
Temple Beth Ami is looking forward to Cantor Ellis’ contributions to our community.  “We are very fortunate to have Cantor Ellis at Temple Beth Ami,” says Rabbi Mark Blazer.  “Having a full-time cantor is something we have been working toward for many years, and we are so pleased to welcome Cantor Ellis to our TBA family.”
TBA also is looking forward to welcoming our new member families this year.  Programming for members of all ages, from babies to seniors, is the cornerstone of TBA’s broad appeal.  There truly is something for everyone at TBA.  Our diverse congregation includes people from all walks of life and observance levels.  If you haven’t been to TBA lately, what are you waiting for?  Join us for the High Holy Days and see for yourself why TBA offers the most innovative, exciting Jewish experience in Santa Clarita.  Tickets are still available.
