A “Sacred Space” is a place which inspires, elevates and feeds the soul.  NorthPark’s new 11-acre campus (located in the Rye Canyon Business Park) was designed in every detail to do just that!  As we built the first of the three buildings which will eventually comprise our campus, we wanted it reflect our reverence for a creative God and our desire to bring people together with their Creator.  We wanted the folks who come our way to be inspired by beautiful murals and scripture engraved tiles.  We wanted the colors on the walls to speak of the richness grace.  We wanted the backdrops and images to make the chest swell as it comprehends the beauty of art, sculpture and architecture whose very inspiration is God.
At NorthPark, we believe our “church” is really the people who walk through our doors.  Yet, we also know that mundane and familiar surroundings can lull even the most sincerely devoted into a sort of sleepy faith – devoid of passion and inspiration.  We believe that it’s good for the soul for folks to be surrounded by beauty and that when they are; they taste the awe due our great God.
We’d like to invite you to visit us at NorthPark.  When you walk through our doors, you’ll be in Heritage Hall, a space designed to welcome you and invite you in.  Our Colonnade will offer you coffee and donuts and our N-bassy will welcome you with information and materials.  Also downstairs is our one-of-a-kind Kid’s Park area, which contains a Central Park (for Elementary and Jr. High aged kids) and Noah’s Park (for infants and toddlers)—all in a tree lined park setting.  Our Grand Staircase beacons you to come upstairs where you’ll be ushered into our Celebration Center.  The rich purples and gold color scheme of our Celebration Center and the original and historical art on the walls will speak to you of the richness and rootedness of our faith.  Our Reformation Room continues the theme that our faith is rooted in history and not just a fanciful or man-made idea.  Our Crown Chapel is a smaller space for contemplation or special events and our Youth Room is a set apart place for high school kids to enjoy each other and connect with God and good friends.
Last but not least, throughout our facility you’ll notice our signature NorthPark “N”—a classic “N” overlaid by a stylish, more modern “N” which is an intentional reminder that at we are about bringing things together.  God and people, grace and truth, historical and relevant, young and old, men and women, and so much more.
We would love to welcome you to our home!  Visit us on any Sunday at one of our morning Celebration Services.  Also, consider this your special invitation to our Grand Opening on Sunday, October 10, 2010!
