Terrible twos… Nope!  That was cake!  It’s more like terrible threes!  What I thought was a temper tantrum was nothing to what I have experienced with Sophia since she has turned three.  It started the day we took her for her three-year old checkup (B.T.W. It’s only one shot!  Thank Goodness!) When we arrived at the doctors office, she immediately realized where we were, which is not a good thing.  She has this terrible memory of getting poked and prodded from when she had a throat infection.  Just getting her height and weight took three adults and a child!  The other child was trying to show her by example and the three adults?  Well, let’s just say that Sophia has a permanent entourage thanks to her auntie and grandmother.  Anyways, she was hysterical, thankfully she calmed down once her doctor, Dr. Stern, came in the see her.  Dr. Stern is just so amazingly sweet and patient that it’s hard to stay “scared” at such a wonderful person.  Dr. Stern checked Sophia thoroughly and told me that she was just perfect!  I mean who am I to disagree, I made her!
This summer has been wonderful!  I cannot complain because the weather here in the Santa Clarita Valley has been quite perfect.  Not too hot, not too cold.  We have spent almost everyday at the pool.  Sophia has the most beautiful sun-kissed tan.  Even with SPF 60!  We have enjoyed many play dates with friends at the pool and park this summer.
We were asked again by Adriana to do another bridal fashion show this month and I happily accepted.  The Bellissima Fashion Show took place at the Valencia Hyatt.  It was spectacular to see this event.  Sophia and I had our hair done by Garrett Markenson (Hayley did Sophia’s).  And then I got my make-up done by Monica Swanson.  It was such a wonderful experience!  When you never wear make-up and throw your hair up in a bun everyday, any kind of pampering is appreciated.  They made us look amazing.  Sophia modeled two different flower girls gown while I model a combination of both bridal gown and bridesmaid dresses.  We had a blast.  Sophia just loves the runway!  You should have seen her blow kisses to the audience as she exited… such a little ham.  Wonder who she takes after?  After the show we had a wonderful photo shoot with the ever patient and amazing David and Jody.  Jody, you are wonderful!  Sophia just loved you and your “animals.”  Thank you again for the wonderful experience and beautiful work!
Potty training has been a success!  Even though she still wear pull-ups at night, but as the doctor explained pull-ups at night are okay.  But in the morning the first thing she asks is her “big girl” underwear.  Yay!  Such a proud mama!  I seriously cannot believe what a little person Sophia has grown up to be in such a short amount of time.
Though I can’t believe summer is almost over.  I’m looking forward to Autumn even though its not like the weather changes much here.  But at least there’s Halloween to look forward to.  Sophia is all excited.  She can’t decide if she wants to be Tinkerbell, the little mermaid or a princess.  We’ll she what she picks.  And unlike last year I think she’ll actually put her costume on this time, fingers-crossed.
