When I think of the things that make life good, I think about family and friends, stimulating conversations, travel, music, art, books, mountains, beaches, good health, and children.  Oh yes, there is also a swim with my grandson, playing dress-up with one granddaughter, and a nap with another.  I can’t leave out sharing time with a gathering of people my husband and I hold dear.  There is also having a nice meal, or capturing a special moment with my special guy.  No doubt, I can add more to this list.
An important item that is necessary in life is doing what one finds most meaningful in one’s career.  I am able to work in a profession that recognizes the importance of children and families.  This makes life good. At Inner Circle Foster Care and Adoption Services, I am able to connect with many people who add meaning to their lives by becoming substitute parents and offering a safe haven to children.
Every year a new population of caring foster parents is needed.  People who can provide loving environments and introduce children to nature, recreation, and play are needed.  Providing interactions with compassionate adults, enjoying friendly companions, and reaching goals gives a child or sibling group a chance to know what makes life special.
If you are interested in becoming a foster or adoptive parent, please contact our Certification Coordinator Patti Claire at 1-818-988-6300, Ext.203.  Orientation meetings and trainings are available and we can provide you with important information.  Find out what you can do to make life good for a child who needs your help.
