With summer coming to a close and our kids returning to school, many homeowners are picking up where they left off at the beginning of summer, taking care of our homes. Other than our children, our homes are our greatest investment and both can be full-time jobs.
With the unique properties of our water in The SCV, Stevenson Ranch and Castaic, an appropriate water treatment is far more important here than other regions in southern California. The level of water hardness, sediment and chloramines in our water are playing havoc with our water fixtures and appliances. Many of us are experiencing premature failure of water heaters and dishwashers.
In a somewhat shaky economy, many are putting off home improvements until things get better. Sometimes it comes down to a matter of dollars and cents. If it’s a good value, then the dollars make sense.
There is, however, one home improvement that does not require a large capital investment. That would be water treatment. The old adage, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,” may be most appropriate here. With water heater replacement running $750 to $1,800, depending on size, and dishwasher and shower head replacement costs going up, a modest investment in water softening and/or filtration may be wise.
Unlike other companies, Rayne will rent most of the equipment we sell. Water softeners, drinking water filters and some whole house water filters are available to the homeowner on a rental basis with no long-term contract required. Also, unlike other companies, Rayne does not add a hidden delivery surcharge to your bill for our portable exchange water softener rental. The price I quote is the price you pay. No ups, no extras.
Speaking of price, yes, I will. I am happy to give you my prices over the phone. Why wouldn’t I, if my story doesn’t change when I get to your home?
If you have any maintenance or repair concerns regarding you home, please call me. A dependable plumber, electrician or general contractor can be hard to find. I have a few great contractors I network with on a regular basis, all have the appropriate licenses and insurance and I would be happy to help.
Please call me anytime. I look forward to your questions regarding water treatment and would appreciate an opportunity to earn and keep your business.
Thank you, and as always, good health to all.
