Nanci Olmos, owner and operator of Clarice’s Cake & Candy Supplies, is a lovely woman who always has a smile for her customers and is ready to answer any questions you might have. Having been in business for 23 years this past June, Nanci states, “I am proud to have been given the opportunity to carry on Clarice’s name. She is a great lady who recently turned 90 and I am honored that she allowed me to carry on her tradition.”
With six part-time employees on staff who are mothers and candy and cake lovers themselves, they also show the same helpfulness and kindness that Nanci shows. It is easy to see why Clarice’s is so popular with families and children alike.
“My type of business makes everyone happy because it’s sweets, candy, cakes, and cookies! It’s a craft that once you learn, you make a lot of friends with your talent.” Clarice’s has everything for all your sweet decorating supply needs. Everything from decorating, baking and candy supplies, pans, tips, molds, chocolate, boxes and boards, custom cakes, novelties, icing and fillings. Seasonal classes offered include Valentine’s Day, Easter, St. Patrick’s Day, summer Kids Kake & Kandy Camp,Holiday Gingerbread Houses, Candy Trains and Holiday cookie classes. Her classes are loved by men, women and children.
Nanci’s philosophy is this, “Sharing knowledge with all my students so they can then go on and share it with their friends and family gives me happiness. I’ve even had several students go off and start their own business.” Their motto is so very true, “We bake with love!”
Having lived in the SCV for 40 years Nanci loves the community she lives in and it shows. Nanci participates in The Taste of The Town each year and is one of the original participants from the very first one held at Piru Mansion. She is also involved in The Festival of Trees each year.
