Scripture found in the Holy Bible inspires the subject matter in Rafael’s paintings. As a Christian, Rafael often uses his studies in the Bible, as well as, personal experiences to spark the Genesis of a painting. The painting is often developed first as a drawing or series of drawings before the airbrush begins on the steel canvas.
