From the gorgeous murals on the walls, to the authentic aromas that fill the air, you can’t help but experience all the flavors of Mexico at Margaritas Mexican Grill.  As I walked into the family-owned restaurant, I was immediately greeted with a smile from the friendly staff.  The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and a perfect place to dine.
I began the afternoon with some warm and crispy tortilla chips accompanied with salsa, made with fresh tomatoes and herbs.  If you want to spice it up, try one of Margaritas signature salsas from their salsa bar.  From mild to spicy, each salsa is made fresh and seasoned perfectly.
After enjoying some warm tortilla chips, owner Maria Acevedo brought out the first meal that I couldn’t wait to devour-Carne Asada!  A half a pound of mouth watering marinated steak, served with fresh guacamole, pico de gallo and Guajillo sauce, ready to be eaten. The meal included rice, beans and sweet corn tomalito-which perfectly complemented the meal-very traditional and very delicious.
Next to try was the beautifully plated and ever so popular Margaritas Grilled Fish Tacos.  The grilled sea bass was absolutely flawless, topped with cabbage, pico de gallo and an ever so tasty special mayonnaise sauce, in a soft flour tortilla.  This meal bursts with flavor, and the zesty sauce leaves you wanting more.  Included with the meal was savory Ranchero beans, Mexican white rice and sweet corn tomalito-the perfect combo for the perfect meal.
To accompany my delightful feast, Maria brought me a Cazuela.  What looked like a fruit soup turned out to be a flavorsome mixed drink-a wonderful refreshing cocktail made with Tequila and Squirt, with wedges of orange, lime, pineapple, and cherry in ice, and served in a bowl!  This Mexican drink went perfectly with both meals.
To end my dining experience, Maria brought out a dessert that was not only pleasing to the eye but also absolutely tantalizing to the taste buds!  You can’t leave Margaritas without trying the Apple Chimi-apple pie filling in a crispy flour tortilla covered with cinnamon and sugar, topped with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with caramel.  Simply rich and simply delicious!
