Can you believe it is 2011! Wow! Guess what? You made it! I know it wasn’t easy. I know you had some ups and some downs. I know you experienced some highs and some lows – but no matter what 2010 threw your way, you can officially look back and say, “I made it!” You made it through the heartaches, the headaches, the disappointments, the negativity, the pains, the discouragements, and the depressing situations. Through everything you had to deal with that was meant to make you give up and throw in the towel, guess what, you made it! You can square your shoulders, throw your head up, wipe your tears, and officially declare that through it all, “I’m still here!” You might not be where you want to be, but guess what, you’re still here! You might not have what you want to have, but guess what, you’re still here! You might not be doing what you would like to be doing, but guess what, you’re still here! Why is “still being here” so important? Because as long as you’re still here, you still have hope. You still have a chance. You can still achieve what you set out to achieve. You can still have what you initially set out to have. You can still win. You can still overcome. You can still turn every negative situation around. You can still change situations that are not helping you be productive and progressive. You can still do it! The natural question can be summarized in one word “How?” Well, I’ll give you the quick answer, then I will expound more next month. Look back at 2010. Don’t look too long, lol! Just look back long enough to answer these two questions. One, what worked for you in 2010? And two… what did not work for you in 2010? Whatever worked for you in 2010, do more of that in 2011. Whatever did not work for you in 2010, do not do that in 2011 – leave it in 2010. We’ll talk more about this next month, but in the meantime, let’s all say thank you to 2010 because it has prepared us for a more successful 2011. Always remember, even if you do not know what to do, at least you know what not to do. Many of us can thank 2010 for that lesson alone. Talk to you next month!
