January 19 to 23, the Los Angeles Art Show was held at the L.A. Convention Center. The art world returned to Los Angeles for the 16th Annual Los Angeles Art Show. Did you go? Did you know this event exists? If so, you would have been overwhelmed and experienced the three “E’s” of being Excited, Enthused and Exhilarated from seeing acres of art from all over the world. Paintings, sculpture, works on paper, photography, and video from over 100 national and international galleries showcased art for collectors, curators, and art enthusiasts of every kind. Featuring over 15,000 works from all genres and periods. The show offered a variety of related events and activities ranging from collector’s tours, panel discussions and film screening. Does that sound like a wonderful experience to be able to witness this amount of visual art for the admission fee of $20? The four days the art show is scheduled is a cultural experience you can never forget. I encourage you to plan to go to this wonderful event next year, as you will not be disappointed. What will happen is that you will be Exhausted… (Another “E”) and you will see so many different styles of art that you will want to come home and begin painting if you are a painter or sculptor. I have many new ideas now to incorporate in my painting. Mark your calendar for next year and take some friends. It is a beautiful environment and makes you really appreciate the citywide celebration of the arts.
