The American Cancer Society Celebrates the 5th Annual Cancer Survivor Breakfast.
More than doubling last years attendance, the ACS 5th Annual Cancer Survivor Breakfast was more than successful in celebrating the lives of those who have fought for more birthdays, holidays and simply put… more life!  Held at the beautiful Robinson Ranch Golf Course, guests listened to speakers including: Susan Pearsal, ACS Relay Committee; Tameka Payne, ACS Director of Community Services; Janine Jones, ACS Relay Committee; Teresa Kerr, ACS Relay Committee; Nancy Coulter, ACS Leadership Council President & ACS President SCV Unit; and Heather Warrick, ACS Healthcare Corporate Initiative Manager & Survivor.  Susan Pearsal opened the morning with a lovely welcome and prepared everyone to be informed, inspired and very much encouraged.
You could see the emotion in the crowd start to flow many tears of happiness as Nancy Coulter shared a statistic that most people didn’t know, “When the ACS was established in 1913, the survival rate for cancer was one in nine people… in the year of 2011, for every two people who receive a cancer diagnosis, at least one of those two people survives!”
