Real Estate Executive Brings Valuable Experience to Nonprofit Organization.
Randy Wrage has become the latest in a series of respected community leaders to join the board of trustees for the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center Foundation.
“We’re very excited to have Randy Wrage joining our governing board,” said Foundation President Myles McNamara.  “His expertise in real estate development, plus his knowledge of the Santa Clarita Valley’s business environment, will prove immensely valuable to the Senior Center Foundation.”
Wrage is president of Wrage Inc. and an associate of Spirit Holding Inc., which developed the Centre Pointe Business Park.  He has previously served on the executive board of the SCV Chamber of Commerce, and he currently serves on the board of the SCV Boys and Girls Club and the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Foundation.
McNamara said the Senior Center Foundation, the fundraising organization for the nonprofit SCV Senior Center, is not only working to raise funds to cover operating costs for the Senior Center’s valuable programs and services for local seniors in need, but also to embark upon a capital campaign with the goal of establishing new, more modern facilities to serve the growing local senior population.
“The addition of Randy to our board couldn’t come at a more perfect time,” McNamara said.
Wrage said he’s excited about the challenge of his new board position.
“The Senior Center’s offerings for our local seniors are only going to get more and more important, as our valley’s senior population increases in the years to come,” said Wrage, who holds a bachelor’s degree from the School of Engineering at California State University, Long Beach.  “We need a Senior Center that is equipped to meet their needs, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to help the Foundation provide the resources to make that happen.”
The SCV Senior Center, at 22900 Market Street in Santa Clarita, provides numerous programs and services for its clients, including health and wellness seminars, arts and entertainment activities, handy workers and day care providers, daily lunches and more than 300 meals a day delivered to homebound seniors.  More information about the Senior Center’s programs and services is available at www.scvsc.org, and information on how to contribute to the Senior Center through the Foundation is available at www.scvseniorfoundation.org.
