Taking Their Mark

Over 300 participants were seen “taking their mark” under sunny skies at this year’s Assistance League Footsteps 5K Run/Walk. Thank you to Title Sponsor Woodward HRT, Platinmum Sponsors The Magazine of Santa Clarita, KHTS AM 1220 radio station, C.A.M. Johnson Family Foundation, Vance Wealth Group, Inc. and Dr. Paul Levine in memory of Lucille D. Pohley, M.D. and to all the sponsors for their support of the annual Footsteps 5K Run/Walk and Kids 1K Fun Run held on Sunday, April 10th. Gloria Regan, this year’s event Chairman, said  “Your sponsorships helped make a difference in the lives of children in need in the Santa Clarita Valley through our Operation School Bell® program.”
The Footsteps 5K is a family style event with awards 3-deep in each division for the 5K Run. The First Place Male runner was Neil Small with a finish time of 16:28 and the First Place Female runner was Augustina Hansen with a finish time 20:29. Runners, walkers, and volunteers all shared a common goal of providing much-needed funds for a worthy cause in the SCV. Our members are stepping up to turn “caring and commitment into action”, said President Jackie Hamby.
