Everywhere I looked, there was a celebrity, and the first I saw was the beautiful and talented Vanessa Williams. Vanessa joined Desperate Housewives in 2010 as the spoiled Renee Perry. After being crowned Miss America in 1983, Vanessa launched a career as an entertainer and had a number one hit, Save the Best for Last. She also made her debut on Broadway and was on feature film like Eraser, Soul Food and many more. Actress Marcia Cross, otherwise known as Bree Van de Kamp, was also seen that evening. Prior to Desperate Housewives, Marcia played Kimberly Shaw on the popular drama Melrose Place and in the early 80’s and 90’s, was on soap operas like The Edge of Night, Knots Landing and One Life to Live.
The quirky and fun loving Wisteria Lane resident, Teri Hatcher, a.k.a. Susan Mayer, graced the stage with her on screen handsome hubby James Denton, who plays Mike Delfino on Desperate Housewives. Teri Hatcher joined the Band From TV as one of their special guests and sang her heart out as James, honorary chair of the event, played guitar. It was an unforgettable evening on Wisteria Lane, raising $170,000, all to support the CF Foundation and their efforts to raise funds and find a cure.
Stay tuned for more Wisteria Lane sightings in our next issue of The Magazine of Santa Clarita. And don’t forget to have your cameras ready and be on the lookout.
