Thousands lined Town
Center Drive for the popular Amgen Tour of California Stage 8 Start on Sunday, May 22. The Amgen returned to Santa Clarita for the fourth time as our city was host to the start of the final stage of the race. Riders made their way to the overall finish in Thousand Oaks, completing more than 800 miles of scenic roadways during the eight-day event.
This year’s event drew millions of spectators worldwide. Amgen served as title sponsor for the sixth consecutive year, using this race to bring awareness and support to those affected by cancer through its Breakaway from Cancer® initiative.
