Hey Comedy Fans,
We start the month of July off with the return of Craig Shoemaker, “The Lovemaster” for four big shows on July 1 and July 2 at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. each night. This is a rare treat to see one of the most in demand comedians in the country in such an intimate setting.
We are lucky to get star talent every week at J.R.’s, and this is our biggest event of the year. Craig has been voted comedian of the year at the American Comedy Awards, and is a favorite on KLOS, and XM radio. His legendary “Lovemaster” will put you in tears. Do not miss out on this show.
Then on July 8 and July 9 we have Barry Diamond back at the club. Barry has starred in the movie Bachelor Party with Tom Hanks, appeared on Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and on The Tonight Show. Barry Diamond shifts from one hilarious character to another throughout his act, and will always surprise you with his improvisational skills. Robin Williams jumps on stage to improvise with Barry, every chance he gets.
On July 15 and 16 we have a surprise headliner who will knock you out.
Then on July 22 and 23, we have the return of another club favorite, Don McMillan. Don is the high tech comedian, who does his act on power point. He is the most sought after comedian for corporate events in the country. If you own a computer or work in the tech industry, are an engineer or a nerd, you won’t want to miss this show.
We close the month out with Eric Schwartz, AKA Smooth-E. Eric is like a young Weird Al. His song parodies have been seen over 40,000,000 times on You Tube. He has appeared on Showtime and Comedy Central. His parody of Eminem is one of the funniest things you will ever see. As you can see, we are going to have a killer month of July.
