Hello Comedy Fans! We have another terrific month of comedy in August; highlighted by Dave Coulier, who starred as “Uncle Joey,” on the hit show Full House. Some people may not know this, but Dave Coulier was one of the top comedians in the country when he was cast on this very popular show and became a household friend. He still loves to perform standup comedy, and we are lucky to have him back at J.R.’s. It is also one of the only places the entire family can come to enjoy him. We allow people as young as sixteen to attend, as well as people up to one hundred! We start the month off with Andrew Norelli, one of the hottest young comics in the country, on August 5 to 6. Andrew has recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Comics Unleashed, and The Late Late Show. On August 12 and 13 we have another of our all time favorites, Jimmy Shubert, at the club. Jimmy was a regular on King of Queens with Kevin James, and had his own Special on Comedy Central. His act is full of hilarious angst, and was a huge hit at our Charity Golf Tournament. Of course we have Dave Coulier on August 19 to 20 for three big shows. We have one show at 9 p.m. on Friday, and two shows on Saturday at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. This is a perfect night out for the entire family. The show is clean and hilarious. Finally on August 26 and 27, we have the very silly Pete George. Pete is not only a very funny comedian; he is also a world-class musician. He does characters, plays the guitar, and does standup. Pete was mistakenly put into learning disabled class as a child, and has made a career of talking about it as an adult.
So, there is something for everyone this month at J.R.’s Comedy Club. Call 661-259-2291 for reservations and visit www.comedyinvalencia.com.
