There are times when what we see currently happening in our lives does not match what we have believed in the past. It is during these times in our lives that our motivation and momentum has to become driven by what we believe for our future and not what we see in our present. No matter what we may see in the natural right now, we must believe that God is still in control and before it is all said and done, we will achieve all that we have believed to happen. We must believe that it is not over until God says it is over. It is not over until it is a victory. We must believe that all things will work out. We may see sickness, but we must believe that healing is on the way. We may see brokenness, but we must believe that restoration is on the way. We may see financial struggle, but we must believe that a financial breakthrough is on the way. We may see strife, but we must believe that peace is on the way. We may see loneliness, but we must believe that help is on the way. No matter what we see, we must believe that the best is yet to come. We must believe that today will soon be tomorrow and tomorrow will be a better today.
Someone asked me a long time ago, “How long should I believe?” I quickly replied, “Believe until you see it.” It is always too soon to quit. And though you might not have whatever you are believing for yet, you are closer today than you were yesterday. You may say, “Well it sure does not feel like it.” Remember, it is not about what we feel, it is about what we believe. We are what we believe we are. We can do what we believe we can do. We must believe in spite of statistics. Believe in spite of history. Believe in spite of opinions. No matter what we may see, feel, or hear, we must believe for victory and success anyway. We will go as far as we believe. Despite obstacles, tests, headaches, heartaches, rejects, set-backs, or even set-ups, we must keep believing. So even when you do not see it, keep believing for it until you do see it.
