High Holy Days services should be inspirational and dynamic. Temple Beth Ami (TBA), Santa Clarita’s only Reform congregation, creates an innovative program that engages the mind and spirit.
Led by Rabbi Mark Blazer and Cantor Kenny Ellis and held at the beautiful Hyatt Valencia, TBA’s Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur services feature traditional prayers and melodies, a choir and innovative musical accompaniments.
TBA also offers a fun children’s program and a special service just for teens. These programs allow parents the freedom to enjoy their service, while kids get to learn about the meaning of the High Holy Days in an age-appropriate, entertaining way. For the little ones, arts and crafts, games and songs add to the fun.
After services on the first day of Rosh Hashana, TBA invites everyone (adults and children) to participate in tashlich, a ceremonial “casting off” of our sins to prepare for Yom Kippur. This centuries-old tradition adds a new level of understanding and depth to the observance of the High Holy Days.
