On Wednesday, August 17, The Chick-fil-A® restaurant at Valencia Town Center celebrated its first birthday. The store served over 600 people free sandwiches within two hours to guests who brought a birthday card for the restaurant.  Restaurant Operator Dustin LaChance and his 54 team members hosted a one-year celebration complete with outdoor seating, community festival games and activities ranging from live music, bounce units, human hamster balls, pictures with the Chick-fil-A “Eat Mor Chikin®” Cows and more.
A range of community partners brought a variety of entertainment to the evening festivities: BloodMobile of Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, FlyFeNniX Productions, Mad Dog’s Gamers Paradise, My Gym Children’s Fitness Center, SCV Bounce Company, State Farm Insurance, Total Financial Solutions, Inc., Dig It! The Fossil Workshop and Gavin Espinosa ATA Martial Arts.  Live music was provided by singer/songwriter Emilie Hendrix and DJ Graham Silvers.
“We are grateful for an amazing first year of business and want to create an event that spotlights our dedication to community involvement and our loyal fans,” LaChance said. “Chick-fil-A has prided itself in partnering in major community and charity events in the Santa Clarita Valley and assisting many schools and nonprofit groups this past year.  We look forward to many more years of top-tier service and community engagement.”
