Mark your calendars and keep October 15 open… why you may wonder? Because there is a great event that will take place.
On October 15, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. a great event will be held at Hart Hall located at 24151 Newhall Avenue in Santa Clarita. The event is the annual Art Classic Exhibit of over 100 pieces of original visual art created by members of the Santa Clarita Artist’s Association. This art exhibit is the only Visual Art Exhibit to be held in Santa Clarita for the public to attend. There will be many different types of visual art displayed. Categories will range from acrylics, graphics, oils, watercolors, photography, sculpture, paintings, and other media like photo collage. Awards will be given for best of show, people’s choice, and city award. Awards are decided by independent judges hired by the Santa Clarita Artist’s Association. People’s choice awards are chosen at the reception based on ballots from attending guests. A scholarship award is given to high school seniors who are going to major in art at college or art schools. Donations may be given to SCAA for the scholarship fund. Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased from members or by calling 661-259-6789 or 661-255-3050. The price at the door is $30.
Be sure to buy tickets and take your friends to see over 100 pieces of original visual art at the Hart Hall on October 15, and enjoy the wine and food at the reception from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. It is a time to see beautiful visual art and meet many of the artists.
