In a plaza on the corner of Bouquet and Seco Canyon Roads in Saugus, is a little restaurant that will broaden your culinary mind.  Once you visit Persia Restaurant at 26877 Bouquet Canyon Road, you’ll never again settle for the mundane.  The moment you walk through the front door, the soft rose color and beautiful artistry make you their own.  And the hospitality extended makes you feel like family.
Whenever we want to enjoy a leisurely lunch or forget the rest of the world at dinnertime, we dine at Persia.  Whenever we want to feel special or pampered, we dine at Persia.  Persia with its vast and varied menu has become our escape.  We invite you to share in our experience.
As you arrive, owner Homayoon Daryani greets you at the door with a charm that makes you feel like a special guest in his home.  The beautiful Ophelia, both hostess and server, ushers you to a table and offers you a beverage.  Do yourself a favor.  Skip the soda and have iced tea.  Homayoon’s unique blend of teas is brewed to perfection every time.  I’m usually a water drinker, and I always have iced tea when I visit Persia.  If you enjoy the flavor, you may purchase the teas from Mom and Pop’s Deli around the corner.  Homayoon owns the store.
If you’re used to American fare and your idea of ethnic food is Cheese Pizza, you may want to ask for guidance as you peruse the menu.  Persian cuisine combines flavors and colors you may not be used to.  Would you like the full Middle Eastern experience?  Take your time! Before your meal, relax with a glass of pomegranate wine or Kasara, a rich, red Lebanese wine that goes well with many dishes.  Lavash bread and appetizers will keep your hunger at bay while you enjoy the company of your dining partners.
There are scores of choices from chicken to lamb, kebabs to stews.  Most are served with fragrant saffron Basmati rice, and some entrees are accompanied by other rice and side dishes.  One of my favorites, is a sour cherry rice that goes well with chicken.  One of my favorite entrees is the marinated chicken kebob served with saffron rice and sprinkled with dried barberries.  The combination of the fowl and fruit is captivating; so much so that I find myself ordering it most of the time.
Can’t decide on what to order?  We have great news!  Persia now hosts a lunch buffet Monday to Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Hallelujah!  A bite of this, a dollop of that, two types of meat and a sampling of Persian stews are complimented by an appetizer/salad bar and two kinds of rice.  For $9.95 you get a piece of heaven.  If you’re in a hurry, you can be in and out in 30 minutes.
We suggest you forget about work, forget about the world, forget about everything and relax at Persia Restaurant.  It’s more than a meal – more than an experience.  It’s a delicious escape. Call 661-513-0077 for catering or special events or visit www.persia-restaurant.com.
