Soaring to the Clouds

Sean Murphey Achieves the Top Three Percent. Local Santa Clarita resident Sean Murphey may seem like a normal teenage senior at Valencia High, but on October 16, Sean received his Eagle Merit Badge and is now one of three percent of scouts to achieve Eagle Rank.  Sean is in Scout Troop 228 and his current scoutmaster is Steve Jensen.
Each scout must complete a project to reach the rank of Eagle.  Sean’s Eagle project was to rebuild a wooden deck for Christ Lutheran Preschool.  Not only did he rebuild the deck, but he raised all of the funds for the project.
Sean has been active in Troop 228 for more than six years, joining in 2005 when he bridged from Cub Scouts.  Sean has many interest along with scouts, he is an avid snowboarder and bicyclist.  Sean is looking forward to studying car design when he enters college next year.
