Residents participating in the City of Santa Clarita’s ongoing customer survey continue to rate services provided to the community by City staff as superior. Residents who utilize the City’s on-line service request system, recently re-branded as, “Since You Asked,” are invited to fill out a survey once their service request has been completed. Specifically, residents have the option to rate response time, employee effectiveness, and their overall satisfaction with the service. Survey results compiled during the past year reveal services provided by City staff either met or exceeded expectations for 85 percent of the total respondents.
“We are thrilled that Santa Clarita residents are happy with the services provided by City staff,” says Mayor Marsha McLean. “City of Santa Clarita employees are empowered to provide the best information and services in a timely manner,” she added.
Residents rated City services such as e-service, e-graffiti, Sheriffs, vacation checks, community preservation, and public records requests. Eighty-six percent of respondents reported the response time to service requests by City staff were either, “good,” or, “superior.”
When asked about employee effectiveness, 83 percent of respondents rated City staff as either being “good” or “superior” in their delivery of services and interaction with residents. Respondents also found City staff to be responsive and professional, with 86 percent rating the courtesy of employees as either “good” or “superior.”
The survey results provided by residents continue to suggest our community appreciates the responsiveness and professionalism of staff, and values the emphasis the City places on making technologies readily available for the community to interact with their local government. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the numerous online services offered on the City’s website such as eNotify, ePermits, ePlans, and eService. The City of Santa Clarita also continues to be a leader amongst cities, both in the state and nation, for advancing the use of social media such as Twitter and Facebook.
