Hello Comedy Fans!
J.R.’s Comedy Club just celebrated our 14th year anniversary.  Diana, Emil, and I have been working hard to bring something special to you every weekend.  We hope 2012 will bring you lots of laughter and prosperity.  We are going to start off the year with our two incredible New Year’s Eve shows, which have sold out every year.
On January 6 and 7, we have one of our all time favorites, Don Friesen, who just taped his own television special for Showtime.  Don is the only two-time winner of the San Francisco Comedy Competition.  He has recently been seen on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham.  Also on the bill directly from The David Letterman Show is Steve Mazan, who battle with cancer is documented in his award winning documentary, Dying to do Letterman.
On January 13 and 14 we have Bob Golub, “The Polish Madman.”  Bob is a fellow Polish Pittsburgher, who was in the movie Goodfellows, and always gets a reaction with his boxing stories.
January 20 and 21, we have a very special event, with” An Evening with Larry Miller.”  Larry is one of the great comedians of all time.  He has been seen countless times on television and movies, most recently in New Year’s Eve, and on Curb Your Enthusiasm.  He was also in Pretty Woman, 10 Things I hate About You, Best in Show, and is a regular on Adam Corolla’s podcast.  Don’t miss this rare treat.  Larry loves the intimate nature of J.R.’s and has worked out his one-man show on our stage.
Finally on January 27 and 28, we have the first ever appearance at J.R.’s of Willie Barcena.  Willie has made a dozen appearances on The Tonight Show, and is a brilliant comedian.  Also appearing that week is Fritz Coleman, everyone’s favorite weatherman from NBC.  Fritz is also a hilarious comedian, who has been on The Tonight Show, and a regular in Las Vegas.
Let’s resolve to laugh this year!
