OMG… I cannot believe this happened to me again.  Before I explain what happened, I want to tell you that I have finally ended all contact with Internet dating sites.  I am sure this works for some people, but I had found out over time that it just was not for me.  Lately every time I saw a dating site commercial, I would start laughing out loud, “sarcastically.”  I mean really, showing an actual first date with two actors is pretty funny.  Seriously though every time I went online I saw the same people.  It seemed nothing changed, and after this last date of mine, I decided to cut the cord for good.  From now on if I happen to run into someone who looks interesting, I will just suck it up and ask her out.
My story starts the same way, looking through the dating site, and winking at a nice looking lady.  A couple days later she winks back.  So then I email her, and ask her out to a coffee date, of course.  The next day I receive an email from her saying that would be great, and she even recommended a really nice place to go.  I replied with a yes, and we made plans to meet there the next morning at 10.  I had never been to this place, but knew it was nicer than just a coffee house.  I arrived about 10 minutes early, which is pretty darn good for me.  It was definitely a smart thing too, since it took about five minutes to park.  It seems this was a place for moms to meet up after dropping off the kids for school.  After finally getting a parking spot, I go in and take a quick look around.  I do not see her, so I grab a table with a view of the door.  Now it’s time and I am getting a little nervous.  Every time the door opens I am looking anxiously at who walks in.  One minute turns to five, then 10.  Pretty soon 15 minutes pass, no date.  Now its 20 minutes, and I am thinking something might have happened.  Luckily, I had my laptop in the truck.  I grabbed it and checked my emails, nothing.  Now a half hour has passed, and I finally realize, I had been stood up.  Again.  I never found out why, but you know what, I will keep on trying, and you should too.  Do not let a bad date stop you from the next possibly great date.
