February is the month of love! Whether or not cupid has struck, one thing is certain, we all love encountering a celebrity or two. It was indeed a star-studded month for the City of Santa Clarita. There were sightings everywhere! I had the opportunity to meet a few stars myself. Actor Atticus Shaffer, from the hit television series, The Middle, found his way to our office the other day for a photo shoot for the cover of this issue of The Magazine of Santa Clarita. 
He will be a celebrity host for the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center Foundation’s Celebrity Waiter Dinner on February 25. Atticus was such a pleasure to be around, and was nice enough to take photos with our office staff as well as fans. For more information on the Celebrity Waiter event, see page 4.
Just a few months ago, Santa Clarita residents Alicia, Andrea, Ian and Ayelen also spotted Atticus at the Edwards Cinema in Canyon Country. “We wanted to respect his privacy so we didn’t ask for a picture,” states father, Patrick Devereaux.
Actress Sasha Pieterse was seen at Forever 21 in Westfield Valencia Town Center a few months back. “She was so nice,” states Carolyn Thibodeaux. “My daughter Julia and her friend Daniella were so thrilled to meet her!”
You may recognize Sasha, as she plays the role of Alison DiLaurentis from the ABC television series Pretty Little Liars. At the age of 15, when she began the series, she was the youngest actress on the show. Sasha has also guest starred on Heroes, Without a Trace, CSI: Miami, and House, to name a few, and portrayed a teenager in the series finale of Medium.
