Following the season of gift-giving and warm tidings, the year 2012 may begin with resolutions. You may start out with practical ideas that include saving money, losing weight, increasing time for exercise, and considering how you can reduce stress. Let me propose something else. Please consider what you can do to help a child or group of children have new beginnings in 2012.
Inner Circle Foster Care and Adoption Services will approach 2012 with heartfelt goals of establishing healthy, happy homes where children who have experienced incredible hardships will have “new beginnings.” To begin with they will establish new relationships with temporary or permanent families that provide security, safety, and love. They will be treated with kindness and respect. They will be provided opportunities to learn and grow. They will have healthy relationships with peers and adults that promote their emotional and physical wellbeing.
This year you can contact Inner Circle and learn how you can alter someone’s life. No greater value can come from what you can do to help another. Classes for new foster families in February are on Saturdays 10 a.m. and Sundays. Don’t hesitate – be part of “new beginnings” for children in need.
