Billing and Coding Specialist and Electronic Health Records (EHR) Specialist courses are being offered entirely online with instructor-led virtual classes. A Phlebotomy Technician program is also being offered with classroom instruction taking place at the Golden Oak Adult School campus. EHR Specialists alone can earn $20 to $50 per hour in starting pay and the government has mandated that all healthcare providers and physicians maintain patient records electronically by 2014. The demand for EHRs is expected to grow by 20 percent by 2018.
