Sat., June 2, 7:30 a.m. – BMCF/JCI Fight It! 10K/5K/1K. The members of JCI Santa Clarita Valley are proud to present the 11th annual Fight It! 5K Race including a 10K & 1K benefiting the Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund. Walkers and runners of all ages are welcome to participate. The race will be held at Central Park, Cross Country Trail located at 27150 Bouquet Canyon Road in Santa Clarita. This event benefits the Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund. The Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund (BMCF) supports patients ages 18 to 40 as they undergo cancer treatment. It provides services to meet daily needs that are not covered by insurance. Brenda built this organization for young adults her age, to help maintain self-respect during months of treatment and minimize the stress of associated financial challenges. Sat., July 28 8 a.m. – US Swimming Southern California Sectionals Swim Meet. The Santa Clarita Aquatic Center will host annual Southern CA Swimming Sectional Championship Meet co-hosted by the local swim club Canyons Aquatic Club and the City of Santa Clarita. This event brings athletes and spectators to Santa Clarita from all over Southern CA, Arizona, and Nevada. Santa Clarita Aquatic Center is located at 20850 Centre Pointe Parkway in Santa Clarita.
