On Saturday, June 2, The 5th Annual Santa Clarita Valley Blues Festival & BBQ in the Park was held Mountain View Park. An evening full of rhythm and sould, this free event also had a huge car show, a kid’s zone, vendors, raffles, silent auctions, great food, a live radio truck and a professional video crew.
All of the proceeds from this event went to The Valley Sports Foundation and The Tom Bolewski Special Needs Trust. Tom went for a motorcycle ride one day in 2008 with his then teenage sons and after a non-fatal crash he found himself completely paralyzed. Surrounded by a community full of caring citizens, the trust has been raising funds to help Tom purchase an accessible van and make improvements to his home. The annual event allows Tom to continue with therapies that are not covered by insurance. Sponsored by the Santa Clarita Valley Blues Society, the festival is a great place to go for people looking for an evening with good people, great food, and an awesome time.
