Since 1994, Wendy’s High School Heisman has honored 250,000 of the nation’s top high school athletes, scholars and citizens. These well-rounded individuals excel at learning and leadership in their sport, in academics and in life. Because Wendy’s has always valued living and leading with integrity, this is just one example of how Wendy’s of Santa Clarita is inspiring potential in young athletes in the community and encouraging youth to pursue higher education.

But it isn’t just the High School Heisman that Wendy’s of Santa Clarita is participating in this year. You’ll also see more of the local Wendy’s stores at high school football games, too. Not only is Wendy’s showing support for youth sports and education nationally, but right here in Santa Clarita. Rob Montgomery, owner of Wendy’s of Santa Clarita said, “We look forward to coming to the games to cheer on our individual schools and their athletes. Wendy’s is a huge supporter of high school education and athletics, and of course, we care most about our high schools here in the SCV. We want to do our part to make them stronger and celebrate our youth who show so much potential.”
In addition to high school athletics, Wendy’s of Santa Clarita is also continuing their 2012 key tag program this fall. The program allows anyone to purchase a Frosty Key Tag at any local Wendy’s for $1. This key tag may be used all year for a free Junior Frosty with every purchase at Wendy’s. All of the money raised from the Key Tags will go back to the ASB programs at the middle and high schools in the Santa Clarita Valley. The 2011 school year raised $10,000 for local schools!
