Mimi’s Cafe, a favorite French-inspired neighborhood bistro, is introducing a new store-within-a-store restaurant concept at its Valencia, California location this month. The revolutionary concept consists of a new French bakery and coffee bar, carryout section with grab-and-go options, full-service bar, and bistro with four distinct French-inspired dining areas, as well as a new “Mimi’s Bakery, Cafe & Bistro” name.
The new bakery and coffee bar will welcome guests with the aromas, sights and sounds of a classic French bakery inspired by Mimi’s heritage. Baristas will serve a bold new French Roast blend and specialty coffee drinks alongside delectable bakery items such as croissants, macaroons, tarts, artisan breads and Mimi’s signature muffins.
The new carryout section offers a selection of grab-and-go options perfect for a quick breakfast or lunch. Guests can choose from favorite menu items such as Mimi’s classic salads, soups, quiches, baguette and croissant sandwiches and an assortment of beverages. The carryout menu can be enjoyed in the new café area or taken to-go.
Mimi’s new full-service bar is furnished with rich, dark woods, elaborate crown moldings and a tin-like bar top which serves as a warm, friendly gathering place for guests to sip a glass of wine or signature cocktail.
The new bistro features four French-inspired dining areas. “The Garden,” evokes an outdoor garden café, “The Bistro,” provides an atmosphere perfect for a romantic evening, “The Winery,” is adorned with authentic rustic wine barrels, and “The Patio,” is reminiscent of a sidewalk café in Paris for dining al fresco.
The Valencia restaurant will serve as the pilot test for the Mimi’s of the future with additional locations to be considered.
