I recently had the opportunity to go to my son’s school, for a back to school night. Now a lot of you have done the same thing. Sometimes you go year after year. While I was there seeing the classrooms and teachers, I kept running into the same parent going to some of the same classrooms.
A very nice looking mom, I asked her jokingly if she was following me. The answer startled me. She said yes she was, and asked if I might be the guy who calls himself the “Luv Doctor.” Well of course I said yes, and asked if she liked my stories. She said that she never missed an article. Sometimes you are at a loss for words, and this was one of those times. All I could think of was to just say thank you for reading them. She smiled at me, and I thought wow, what a great smile. I definitely wanted to ask her out, but I had no idea if she was married. So I just said what the heck and asked. To my surprise she accepted. She gave me her number, and I called her and we made a date for drinks that Friday night. This was so much better than Internet dating because I knew exactly who I was looking for.
Some of you know exactly what I am talking about, because with the Internet you are never quite sure who will show up. I arrived a little early, and waited patiently for her. When she got there my jaw dropped. She was gorgeous, and dressed to the nines. Instead of sitting at the bar, we decided to sit at a table. The evening started off great, we talked about our jobs a little, and what we do for fun. I could not take my eyes off her. She was that hot. The date was going good until she started talking about her ex. Now you may ask, why is that so bad? Well it depends on how you talk about the ex. She decided to go on about how he should be paying more to her. I have only had a couple dates like this; most women do not bring this up. I have to wonder why anyone would bring this up, especially when I am one of those men that pay too. I feel this is too personal to bring up on a first date. So I guess I will chalk this one up to one more date that did not work out for a good reason.
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year. To reply and say hi, write to Paul, The Luv Doctor at scvsingle@yahoo.com.
