It’s time to FUNdraise…cupcake style! Satisfy your sweet tooth while raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Great Strides campaign!
Both professional and home bakers are invited to showcase their cupcakes for one afternoon.
For all you cupcake enthusiasts, the public will be invited to taste, critique and ultimately decide who has the Great Cupcake for Great Strides!
The event will take place on Sunday, March 24, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. and will be hosted by The Town Center Apartments, located at 24807 Magic Mountain Parkway in Valencia.
“I am thrilled at the way our Great Strides committee and the community have come together to host this event,” states Kylee Stepner, Development Director. “I think this is a fun and creative way for us to engage the community in our Great Strides campaign, which is in its 14th year here in Valencia.”
Admission to the Great Cupcakes for Great Strides is free and open to the public, however there is a fee of $5 per person to be a cupcake taster. All monies collected at the event will be donated directly to the Valencia Great Strides Walk that will take place on Saturday, April 27 at Westfield Valencia Town Center.
In addition to cupcakes, there will also be an auction and participating bakeries include Kokolita Cakes and Tiffylee Cakes. Local vendors will be invited to showcase their wares and food and beverage will also be provided by local restaurants. Attendees will also be able to learn more about Cystic Fibrosis, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and their mission to find a cure and improve the quality of life for those with the disease. Information about the Foundation’s Great Strides walk will also be available at the event.
