Yeah.  You did.  N.C.I.S. on Tuesday, January 29.  A milestone for me – My 50th guest star role on network TV.
“Hey Bob, we were watching that new reality show, The Joe Schmo Show last night when the prisoner escapes and you come storming in, playing that southern prison warden…”
Yep.  Right again.  That was me; belting out, verbatim, the Tommy Lee Jones speech from The Fugitive just to see if the ‘mark’ would pick up on it.  You know the one…

“Alright, listen up, people.  Our fugitive has been on the run for ninety minutes.  Average foot speed over uneven ground barring injuries is four miles-per-hour.  That gives us a radius of six miles.  What I want from each and every one of you is a hard-target search of every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse in that area.  Checkpoints go up at fifteen miles.  Your fugitive’s name is (name change).  Go get him.”
By the way…he didn’t pick up on it.
And of course pretty much everyone who has come into Planet Yogurt in the sixmonths we’ve been open knows I’m playing the Israeli President in the upcoming G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation, in theaters Friday, March 29, Easter weekend.
And they know I’ve just returned from two weeks in February from Austin, Texas shooting the Tom Hanks-produced Parkland, starring Paul Giamatti, Billy Bob Thornton, Zac Efron, Marcia Gay Harden, et al.  No filmmaker has ever before shown what happened inside Trauma Room 1 on November 22, 1963.  The public will be pretty surprised.
So…how does Planet Yogurt figure into my career as a working actor?  Simple.  Peg and I wanted to build something.  From scratch.  Something we could be really proud of.  We didn’t want to open another New York Deli like we had back east.  And I needed the freedom to audition on a moment’s notice, go to LA frequently for voiceover gigs, and travel when a job called for location filming (like G.I. Joe and Parkland).  We both love the froyo concept and did massive research and due diligence for over a year before spending several days early last year with the Dannon YoCream people in Oregon at their facility, where we spent time with their R&D and educational staffs, company store, etc.  After seeing and tasting their superior line of frozen yogurt, we signed on.  That’s why it’s the only yogurt we sell at Planet Yogurt.  We also wanted to give customers a much fuller “experience’ – hence the 5 HD Televisions, Pixar and DreamWorks movies, camp chairs, coffee, tea and hot chocolate, etc.  We wanted to be the local yogurt shop “where everybody knows your name.”  And we’re well on our way to being just that.
Planet Yogurt is located at 27023 McBean Parkway in Valencia at the Promenade Shopping Plaza.  For more information, please call 661-254-2471 or visit www.planetyogurtonline.com today!
