It was a sweet afternoon as guests indulged in cupcakes galore at the Great Cupcakes for Great Strides event to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Both professional and home bakers showcased their cupcakes on Sunday, March 24 at the Town Center Apartments in Valencia.
Cupcake tasters voted for their favorites and local editor representing Team Katie Bug, Stephanie Struyck Elgin (yes, that’s me!), took home the top prize for flavor and design. In addition to cupcakes, there was also an auction and an opportunity to shop from local vendors. Food and beverage was also provided. The event raised over $1700 to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and their efforts to find a cure.
