Al Von Kessler used to be your ordinary guy with a commercial real estate background. While doing that, he developed a product line of commemorative licenses for professionals licensed by the State. The products were eventually made available for real estate and insurance specialists as well as licensed authorities in the securities industry.
The commemorative licenses consisted of a beautiful parchment certificate matted with suede leather and framed with an imported Italian mahogany molding. This is how SLD was born.
Von Kessler states, “As the business grew, we became a full service award company. We have in-house graphic designer that will design custom medals and awards for you. Our product line ranges from low cost economy awards to high-end custom made crystal, glass, acrylic and piano wood.” They make and customize all sorts of things including: medallions, awards for schools, all sports, golf tournaments, framing, plaques, corporate awards and gift items. Their services include laser engraving, sandcarving crystal and glass, sublimation and frame manufacturing.
