Finally, fall has arrived!  Children have returned to school, we have hope that the oppressive August/September heat and humidity is a thing in our past, and we look forward to the sights and smells of autumn.  Is there anything more beautiful than driving down Wiley Canyon and seeing the deep, lush leaves changing colors?  Or going to the store and seeing pumpkins – all shapes and sizes – just waiting to go home with you?  Of course, my all time favorite is a pumpkin latte from one of our many purveyors of coffee!  Yes, for many of us, fall is our favorite season!

Fall is also a time to find our local Harvest Festivals and to prepare for Halloween.  Many of our churches have safe and fun “Trunk or Treat” events during the week of Halloween and you can find carnivals and festivals each weekend.  At the Newhall Church of the Nazarene (NewNaz) we will be holding our annual Harvest Festival on Sunday, October 20 at noon.  We invite you to be our guest at noon for a chili cook-off, browning bake off and carnival games for our children!  Then, on Wednesday, October 30 at 7:15 p.m. we will have our Trunk or Treat event in our parking lot.  Children, sixth grade and below are invited to attend – in costume or not – to enjoy this fun event.
At NewNaz we have a variety of activities each Wednesday night that may interest you.  Please check our web site at www.newnaz.org for details.  We welcome you anytime!
Newhall Church of the Nazarene is located at 23857 The Old Road in Newhall. For more information, please email Kathy@newnaz.org and visit www.newnaz.org.
