With the arrival of pumpkins, fall decorations, and the temperatures sometimes dipping well below one hundred degrees we can be sure of one thing:  It’s October!  It’s the time of year for Jack-O’-Lanterns, scarecrows, candy, and marching bands.  Did she say, “marching bands?”  Yes, marching bands.

On October 5 the Saugus High School Marching Band and Colorguard will make their mark at the famous Lombardi Ranch.  Saugus is the only Marching Band and Colorguard that performs at this famous local venue and this will be their 25th consecutive season taking their place among the pumpkins of Lombardi Ranch.  Beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing until 1 p.m., the Band and Colorguard will delight you with their premiere performance of panoramic proportions, a pirate show called “Invincible.”
In addition to the entertainment, there will be home-baked treats at the Snack Shack and all the proceeds from the sales go to support the Marching Band and Colorguard Organization.
It will be an especially busy day for this group as they continue by traveling from Lombardi Ranch to their first competition of the season, the West Ranch Competition at Valencia High School.  This will be your first chance to see the Saugus Band and Colorguard in full uniform performing their entire show with props and drill formations.  They will be competing against other high school bands from all over the Los Angeles area, including all six Hart District bands.
We also hope to see you on October 26 as the Hart Regiment will host the 30th Annual Rampage Marching Band Field Tournament at the College of the Canyons’ Cougar Stadium.  About thirty marching bands and colorguards, including all the local high school teams, will join Hart for one of the most anticipated tournaments of the season.  In addition to the performances, throughout the day and evening, there will be food vendors, raffles, and merchandise booths.
We invite you to come and enjoy and support the young ladies and gentlemen of the Saugus High School Marching Band and Colorguard. We hope to see you soon!
