First, we are truly humbled by the honors you’ve all bestowed on us! Winning the two most prestigious awards in Santa Clarita Valley, back-to-back, especially in light of the product awareness of, and the intense competition from the national chains…well…again, we are simply humbled.

Two years ago, Peg and I decided to put the residual money from my acting career to good use. We didn’t want to open another New York deli (like we’d owned back east) and we’d been huge fans of frozen yogurt for quite awhile. So we began researching the concept big time. We checked out all the franchises, in depth, and soon came to realize that we could do it better, on many levels. We knew we could do things that the franchises could and would not do. And the concept of Planet Yogurt was born.
After returning from three weeks in New Orleans filming G.I. Joe: Retaliation, in which I play the Israeli President, we formulated the game plan, locked in our commitment to Dannon’s frozen yogurt line, and began searching for a location.
We knew it would be different. It had to be in order to stand out from the crowd and not be simply another ‘cookie-cutter’ froyo store, where the customer comes in, buys the yogurt and…that’s pretty much it. End of experience. In the final analysis, what we wanted was the yogurt shop-equivalent of “Cheers”…the yogurt shop where “everybody knows your name” — Family-friendly and offering several other perks that no one else offers. And over the past year, several thousand customers have responded in the most amazing ways to the business we’ve built. Everyone who walks through the door knows instantly that this froyo shop is definitely not like all the others.  It’s the PY experience!
Five HD televisions offer news, sports and DreamWorks/Pixar movies. Complimentary polar fleece blankets for chilly nights outside on our patio. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fountain coke, lemonade, iced tea…and customer service you’ll find nowhere else.
