Hundreds of people gathered on September 28 to help raise funds for Family Promise of Santa Clarita. Participants made their cardboard box “home” and were residents of Box City at the beautiful Bridgeport Park in Valencia.
Box City residents raised funds for Family Promise of Santa Clarita, a 501c3 non-profit organization serving homeless families in the Santa Clarita Valley, providing help and hope in time of need. Residents participated in games and crafts, and awards were given for the most creative dwellings and the Key to the City and title of Honorary Mayor was given to the participant who raised the most money.
